July 8 – Day 8

Today was a “relaxing” Sunday. The day began with a pair of interesting and informative lectures by the one and only Dr. Siddiqui! The lectures were about rocks used in solving mathematical equations, also known as calculus.

In the afternoon, we challenged other groups to design projects of our creation. Some of which included: human chess, building flying devices and skipping rope challenges.

In the evening, we had three hours to work on our Shad Valley Cup projects; in that time, everyone was very productive and you could feel the excitement in the air. To celebrate our progress, the girls painted Milad’s nails; he is one of our Program Assistants. Other than a few verbal protests, he didn’t resist.

Everyone is excited for camping and canoeing tomorrow! We are leaving early, which means back to our normal schedule (but in the woods). SHAD VALLEY IS AMAZING!
